The human resources field got a boost in Romania recently with the international company AIMS entering the market and choosing Snelling Personnel Services (which recently opened its third office in Brasov) as its local agent. Snelling now becomes Aims Human Capital Romania and positions itself as a headhunting company, also providing human resources consultancy, training and searching and selection in the field.
"We chose Snelling to represent us as it is the most international oriented company in the field. They speak French and English very well and they have high-quality services. Through this team we intend to introduce in Romania the newest techniques and methods of developing and selecting human resources" said Christian Nitsche, former president of Aims.
Speaking about the new office in Brasov, Aims Human Capital Romania officials said that investment has got a lift in the area, necessitating the presence of a human resources company there. "In Timisoara the market is stagnating now in comparison with the boost in 1999. The surveys show that the investors are watching Brasov now", said Mihaela Perianu, general manager of Aims Human Capital Romania.
Snelling reported a turnover of $2 million in Bucharest and Timisoara for 2000. More than 200 people were placed through this agency and its main clients are Porsche, Shell, Motorola, Ericsson, UPS, and BNP Dresdner Bank.
